Why We Why We Item Upgrading (And You Should Too!)

World of Warcraft – Item Upgrading Item upgrading allows players to boost the gear score of an item up to 700, and then add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory and heading to the kiln. Certain items can be upgraded to benefit from their unique stats (like perfect broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) while others like weapons don't change much post upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading. Weapons Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats such as damage to attack, crit chance PvE and PvP damage. Weapons have a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. Some weapons also come with a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are equipped in a unit. In certain instances, this bonus can add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon upgrades by itself. The cost of upgrading a weapon's capabilities is contingent on the rarity of the weapon and its current level. For instance, a +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the gun will increase until it requires a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one. Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. This is generally a positive thing, but it can also have negative effects. For items that only see use in a specific build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example) upgrading them could render them unusable unless you get a lucky roll. Items of armor can also be upgraded to increase their stats. This can boost the base defense of a chest or helm while belts and gloves will increase their required strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it may roll down to a lower value. The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats it will gain when upgraded, along with their respective values. This means that a weapon will gain an attack damage of 3% if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will strike 3 times less, as it is an absolute number. Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button on the item menu using the circling arrows. This will roll the item and alter its stats however, it will not reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status. Armor A few upgrades to your armor can make all the difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE boosts to poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, which makes the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. Generally speaking, the more defense your character has, the more value you can get from every point of health, so it's important to upgrade your armor as often as you can. To upgrade your armor, go to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four fountains in all each of which requires you to complete a special side quest that involves the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main quest and the corresponding fountains, you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor. The amount of material needed to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. You'll need anywhere from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and between five Rubies or ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade the next one. For example the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep up with a good-sized group of enemies in most cold climates and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, providing the protection needed to survive the full-on assault with a handful of friends. Be aware that armor can't be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll want to concentrate on enhancing it to increase physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power in the case of Mage. It is also recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still be wearing by the end of the story, for example the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight The Monter Parts Merchant Mask. By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town, you can unlock some perks on your armor. Generally, you'll want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be useful to have some upgrades to your chest armor and helmets to let you stealthy battle certain monsters. Potions Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed, provide the user with a temporary status effect. There are five types of potions that have different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to improve their level of effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust. Upgrades to potion require a certain amount XP. This can be earned by making them on a crafting table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion and the item's rarity as well as Mark Level. To upgrade a potion you need to right-click it in your inventory. Select “Upgrade” from the menu. This opens an GUI in which you can select the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll yield when upgraded. Upgrades to potions can be made in batches of up to five at a time and the XP they earn will be added to your current XP total. Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not degrade until you use it again or break the bottle it's stored in. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking it in your inventory. There were item upgrader to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. Splash potions for instance are now available with a time of that is 0:08 instead of 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the hover display of the item. The table for potion is constructed from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players in Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions can't be mixed in cauldrons. Additionally, using a potentio on a full cauldron, it drains the liquid and refills the bottle. In addition, there are lingering potions, which are brewed with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can also be added to lingering potions to extend their effect. The potion table is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as the potion of leaping, the potion of decomposition, and turtle master potions. Trinkets A trinket can be described as a small and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to a piece of art or a decoration that serves a purpose but is not particularly significant, such as a thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket is a way to express friendship or affection between family members. Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons and armor, as well as potions. They can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Trinkets like other items that can be upgraded can be traded at will without losing stats. Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of every zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be bought with tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets. Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to purchasing a new trinket. One can upgrade their trinket for as little 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base level as the previous trinket but will also have an additional 1% bonus upgrade. Once the old Trinkets have become no longer useful they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded among players which makes them a good alternative to gold. Players should upgrade their most important items first. This means that the best-in slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear and finally other pieces of equipment they won't be replacing anytime soon (such as rings or cloaks). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when deciding which items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to a tank player then they should consider upgrading their chest, helm and shoulders. After they've become unusable, trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The new trinket has an additional 1percent bonus. Re-upgrading will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it can be salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, but is still less expensive than buying a new one.
